Web 1040 - Client Status Manager

The Client Status Manager (CSM) feature of Web 1040 is the place to go when you’d like an overview of the statuses of the returns for your office. Multi-site offices can view all returns in any sub-office, while individual offices and preparers can display just their returns.

Managing Filters

With CSM, you can filter clients based on federal status, state status, bank product status and more. And once you’ve found the perfect report, you can save it for future reference. For example, you may find it helpful to review a report each morning of all returns that have not yet been accepted. Or, depending on your workflow, you may want a report of all returns that have been marked as “awaiting review.” Either way, just set the filter to show the returns you’d like to see, give the filter a name, and click Save.

Exporting Data

Sometimes you may have a need to export the filter results for use in another system. In the CSM it’s simple. Just create the report you’d like to export, and click Export. You’ll be prompted to save the results as a comma-separated file. That’s all there is to it.
